General Questions

Insurance Answers

1) Included in all our rates are:

  • Unlimited Mileage.
  • Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) which is a combination insurance of both Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) and Theft Waiver. As long as you adhere to the rental policy of the supplier you will not be held responsible for the cost of replacement or repair to your hire vehicle.
  • Uninsured Motorist Protection (UMP) up to $1m Liability Cover. Offers an Uninsured/Underinsured/Hit-and-Run Motorist Protection (UMP) that provides the renter and family members travelling together in the rented vehicle with up to $1,000,000 of non-stacked coverage for bodily injury sustained while driving the rental car, and caused by another driver who has no insurance, minimal insurance, or is a hit-and-run driver.
  • Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI) up to $1m Liability Cover. All drivers included on the rental agreement will not be held liable for third party claims for bodily injury or property damage resulting from an accident.
  • All Taxes and Airport Fees.

If the gold rate is chosen then this extends the above insurances to cover additional Driver’s and also includes your first tank of fuel (pick up full, return empty).

2) No, all insurances and taxes are included in our hire. So you can travel safe in the knowledge that you are fully covered for all eventualities.

3) Both insurances are the same however if you select the gold rate it extends the insurances to include additional drivers and a tank of fuel.

4) One way rentals are permitted on all vehicles apart from the Economy 2 door and 4 Door. The costs for one way rentals vary but are always paid for locally, directly to the supplier. Please find below an approximate guide price.

One way rentals within Florida and California are free of charge.

One way rentals from California to Nevada or vice versa are an approximate charge of $100.00

One way rentals from Florida to California or vice versa are an approximate charge of $500.00

5) You are free to drive the vehicle in to any state you wish. You can also cross in to Canada. Unfortunately, at present you cannot enter Mexico.

6) Speeding offences are fine. Any other offences should be checked with us before booking.

7) Drivers aged 21-24 are normally subject to a young driver’s fee of approximately $20/25.00 plus tax per day. However U.S. Rent A Car.co.uk has negotiated special rates for young drivers please click here for more details.

8) Drivers must produce a full driving licence from their Country of residence (we cannot accept bookings from U.S. or Canadian driving licence holders), which they have held for at least one year.

Pre-paid Evoucher Answers

1) An Evoucher is your proof to our suppliers that you have paid for your vehicle and Insurances already. You must take a copy of your Evoucher with you, without this our supplier will either refuse your hire or ask you to pay for it again.

2) Evouchers are sent out within 72 hours of booking. If your rental is within 72 hours then it is considered urgent and will be forwarded as soon as possible.

3) If you have not received your Evoucher please contact us and we will deal with your request as soon as possible.

4) If you receive your Evoucher and discover the details to be incorrect please contact us immediately.

5) We buy vehicles in blocks of weeks and days.

5, 6 and 7 days and all multiples of this, fall under the same price band.

Days under or above these multiples are charge at an individual daily rate. This way we can keep the 5, 6 and 7 day prices as low as possible. So if you have booked for instance 12 or 13 days hire your voucher will probably read 14 days and be booked as such. You will not have been charged any extra.

6) The Evoucher is sent in a .PDF format which can only be read by Adobe Acrobat Reader you can get this free of charge from www.adobe.com; you will find a quick link available on the email the Evoucher was attached to.

If you receive the email and cannot see the Evoucher attachment due to a message that reads “OE removed access to the following unsafe attachments in your mail” simply click on the forward button above it and your Evoucher will appear. For your own piece of mind please then run your own anti virus software over the file.

Terms and Conditions Answers

1) Cancellation charges are as follows.

7 or more days before start date £50.00

6-4 days before start date 50%

3-1 days before start date 75%

24 Hours before start date 100%

2) Cancellations must be put in writing and emailed to us. Cancellations begin from the date we receive it in writing.

3) We require written confirmation as proof of your decision to cancel. These are also used for our internal records.

General Questions

1) Unfortunately, no refunds are given if the vehicle is returned early regardless of the circumstances. You may be able to claim from your travel insurance and we will provide any documentation you may require.

2) To collect your vehicle you will require a copy of our Evouhcer, your full driving licence (if you have the new style licence then both parts are required) and a credit card for a refundable security deposit.

3) Our supplier regularly updates its fleet; the maximum age of the vehicles is 6 months.

4) All complaints must be put in writing and forwarded to us as soon as possible. We will require your rental agreement number and copies of any materials that would help speed the completion of your complaint.
We aim to resolve all complaints within 28 days.

5) As long as we have your flight number at least 7 days before your departure date then the supplier will wait for you.
