Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY)

Location: The airport is situated 14 miles (22km) west of downtown New Orleans.

Time: GMT -6 (GMT -5 from the first Sunday in April to the last Sunday in October).

Facilities: Several restaurants, shops, cafes, ATMs and visitor information desks are available around the airport. Foreigners who will be in the country less than 90 days can claim tax back at Tax Free Counter located on the Upper Level of the main terminal. There is a bank in the Ticket Lobby which offers cash advances on credit cards, travellers cheques, money orders and foreign currency exchange. Also in the Ticket Lobby is a post office and a business centre which offers fax and photocopy facilities. Locker rental is no longer available due to security concerns. The nearby Hilton hotel has a gym and swimming pool. Disabled facilities are good; those with special needs should inform their airline in advance.
